Shan Jixiang, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jiangning, Jiangsu province. He was born in 1954, joined the CPC in 1985 and graduated from the Party school. Shan is a senior engineer and registered planner. Shan has held leading positions at the Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Urban Planning Committee. He was appointed director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in 2002.
