Biography
Lei Fanpei, male, Han nationality, is a member of the CPC.
A rocket engine technology researcher, Lei helped develop Long-March booster rocket engineers and major model posture controlled engines. The engines he has created are recognized as providing a safe and reliable power supply for carrier rockets. As a result of his work, he was awarded the Young Expert of Remarkable Contribution to the Defense Industry as well as the Shaanxi Youth Medal.
Lei was the president of the No. 6 Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. In 2014 he became Chairman of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
