Biography

Guo Jinlong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1947, graduated from Physics Department of Nanjing University, and joined the CPC in 1979.

Guo spent nearly 25 years in Party and government positions Sichuan Province, especially in Zhongxian County and Leshan City. His positions span physical culture, public relations, education and agriculture. In 1993, he was deputy secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, but at the end of the year, he was transferred to Tibet as deputy secretary of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee. In 2000, he became secretary of the Committee.

Guo was an alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. He also served as secretary of the Anhui CPC provincial committee from 2004-2007.

He is currently a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee, deputy secretary of the Beijing CPC municipal committee and mayor of Beijing.
