Gong Xueping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1942, joined the CPC in 1965 and received a college education. Gong has had a successful career in television, primarily at the Shanghai TV Station, where he served as chief editor and station director. He has also served as vice-mayor of the Shanghai Municipal Government and assistant secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee.
