Du Xia, male, Han nationality, is a native of Beijing. He was born in 1950, and received a master's degree from Nanjing University. Du began his career in real estate in the late 1980s, and his company, Home World Group, is currently the largest private retail chain enterprise in China. The company focuses on the development of cities such as Tianjing, Beijing, and Xi'an, and employs 6,000 personnel. Its sale value reached RMB 2 billion yuan in the year 2000. In addition, Mr. Du has established an elementary school.
