Biography Highlight

Li Dongsheng, male, is of Han nationality. He graduated from the Huanan Technical Institute. Li became deputy manager of the Huizhou Municipal Electronic Communication Corporation in 1990. When he contacted the world's leading contemporaries, such as Philips in the Netherlands, TPI in the U.S.A, and Jinshan Industry Corporation in Hong Kong, Li invited them to invest in Huizhou, in order to learn from their expertise. As a result, he successively participated in the preparatory activities of a dozen joint-venture enterprises and was director of the Chinese participation in such enterprises, including SinoEuro, Huixin, TPI, Skyeah, GIORDON, and LTK. Li became president of the TCL Corporation in 1996.
